Batido tropical
En cuanto llega el verano los polos, helados, smoothies… están muy presentes en mi cocina. Intento buscar recetas rápidas y sencillas que no me quiten demasiado tiempo, para aprovechar al máximo la playa, que en Galicia es un visto y no visto.
Los batidos son ideales, para aprovechar las frutas que se están empezando a estropear y a poner feuchas en el frutero, que ahora en verano es relativamente pronto.
Además me parecen ideales para que los peques de la casa consuman frutas y verduras, que hay muchos que no quieren verlas ni en pintura… y los batidos son una buena forma de enmascararlas. Además tienen un gran contenido de vitaminas, debido a las frutas y verduras que combinan.
Batido tropical
Ingredientes
1 mango
1 papaya
6 rodajas de piña
400 ml de leche de coco
6 cucharadas de azúcar
Preparación
Pelamos el mango y la papaya.
Cortamos en trozos la piña, el mango y la papaya.
Vertemos la leche de coco en el vaso de la batidora, añadimos las frutas y el azúcar.
Trituramos hasta obtener una textura espumosa.
Repartimos en vasos y servimos enseguida.
Trucos y consejos
Si os queda demasiado denso, puedes añadirle más leche de coco.
Para conseguir un batido más refrescante puedes utilizar trozos de piña, papaya y mango previamente congelados. O añadirle hielo picado o cubitos de hielo, siempre y cuando vuestra batidora os lo permita.
Si no os gusta la leche de coco, podéis substituirla por leche normal, yogur, zumo…
Y hasta aquí esta sencilla y deliciosa receta, como veis no tiene nada, en unos minutos tenemos listo nuestro batido para combatir el calor.

I had a stint teaching 5th grade (English, Social Studies, the works), and I was already a little horrified with some of the selections. A lot horrified, really. And I had one student argue with me that her incorrect use of “to” was correct. Oy gevalt. I’m wowed by the TMI (4&7) and the excuse-making. Someday these people will be employed, and then I’m thinking the “not a morning person” excuse is just not gonna fly.
